As part of our ongoing efforts to align Azure networking services with current security and reliability standards, this preview client will be retired. Timeline and Impact: August 31, 2026 – Azure VPN Client for Linux (Preview) is retired September 1, 2026 – The Linux preview client is no longer supported for Azure VPN Gateway Point-to-Site (P2S) connections After August 31, 2026, connections using the Azure VPN Client for Linux (Preview) may fail, which could result in loss of access to Azure resources through Point-to-Site (P2S) VPN connections.
